Sarah-Jo Baer is a dedicated banker at our Russell branch in Kentucky. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Sarah-Jo brings a relationship-first approach to banking. She enjoys interacting with customers and building lasting relationships, ensuring that every client feels valued and supported.
Peoples Bank holds a special place in Sarah-Jo’s story. It was her first job after college, where she quickly moved from part-time teller to Personal Banker. After taking four years off to stay home with her children, she returned to the Peoples Bank family in December 2025. Her commitment to being a recognizable, trusted face in the branch and community reflects her passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Her best banking advice? “Understand the value of your credit score—and know that it can always be improved.” Sarah-Jo especially encourages younger clients to build credit thoughtfully and take advantage of resources that strengthen their financial foundation.

When she’s not serving clients, Sarah-Jo enjoys reading and playing card games. She’s mom to Jolene (“Baby Jo”), age 4, and Remy, age 2, and shares her home with Duke, their lovable basset hound. A fun fact: her family and friends gather for Sunday dinner every week.
