Peoples Bank and Citizens Bank of Kentucky – Proud to be Growing Together

Peoples Bank was founded in historic Marietta along the Ohio River in 1902. Since its inception, Peoples Bank has remained committed to the people and communities we serve. As we have grown to more than 125 locations, including many in Appalachian Kentucky, we have kept the heart of a community bank.

On April 21, 2026, Peoples and Citizens announced an agreement under which Citizens will merge with and into Peoples, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals and other customary closing conditions (see “Important Information for Investors and Shareholders” under FAQs below).

For now, banking remains business as usual for Citizens Bank of Kentucky and Peoples Bank customers. You can continue using your accounts, services, and the familiar faces you know and trust, just as you always have.
