Meet Ellie Mullens, Peoples Bank’s new Branch Manager of Ironton, Ohio!

Ellie has been in the banking industry for over two years. She started as a part-time teller, demonstrated excellence and has been promoted three times. She went from part-time Universal Banker I to full-time Universal Banker II, to Personal Banker and now Branch Manager!

What Ellie enjoys most about her job is educating and helping people. With financial stress being such a burden, she loves to help people find ways to ease that burden. She is committed to showing up every day and giving 100% to her clients and team. She wants to be the best leader she can and always makes sure her team is a well-oiled machine that is ready to handle any situation that walks through the door. Ellie stated, “A happy team leads to a great client experience, which keeps them coming back!”

Ellie has been with Peoples Bank since 2021. She has been awarded the President’s Club Award twice in her prior position as Personal Banker, which is awarded semi-annually to associates who have overachieved their goals. Ellie said, “Peoples Bank is special to me because of the relationships that are encouraged between the employees and communities. I love that I can attend so many community events and help to demonstrate that Peoples Bank shows up and cheers on the success in our communities.”

Ellie’s best banking advice is, “Treat every person like they are your family member. Never recommend a product that is not beneficial to the client and their specific needs. Not every situation is the same, and you need to be able to feel out each situation and make the best move for your client. You are their BIGGEST advocate!”

Ellie is very involved in her community and has participated in the Ironton Memorial Day parade each year, as well as several other community events such as volunteering with food drives, local domestic abuse shelters, Angel Tree program, Special Olympics games, and the Ironton Dog Shelter.

A fun fact about Ellie is that she just got married to her high school sweetheart in July of 2023 and has a Texas Heeler puppy named Gus - they are her whole world!
