Celebrating 122 Years of Service
February 6, 2024, marks Peoples Bank’s 122nd anniversary. Chartered in 1902 as the Peoples Banking and Trust Company, we have grown from a single location in Marietta, Ohio to having 133 full-service branches throughout Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. We are devoted to the communities we serve and will continue our legacy of commitment in three areas.

We are focused on building relationships, not transactions.
- Support our employees
Our associates have extraordinary talents and bring their best selves to work every day. We will continue to acknowledge employee accomplishments, promote leadership training and cultivate diversity. This includes investing in our team members and their families’ overall well-being through special employee/family events, wellness programs, student loan and tuition reimbursement programs and more. We will also seek to recruit new talent and connect them with opportunities to grow professionally and personally.
- Make a meaningful difference
At Peoples Bank, we strive to use our knowledge, talent and resources to give back to our communities. We will continue to make a positive and meaningful difference through our volunteerism and Foundation giving. The Foundation has given $7.1 million in grants and scholarships to local non-profits and area students since its inception in 2003. Our associates have also contributed over $500,000 out of their own pockets to local food banks since April 2020 through the Jeans for Hunger program.
