Back-to-school #PositivelyPEBO Initiatives

Throughout 2023, we’ve been dedicated to making an impact in our communities by showing the many different ways we are #PositivelyPEBO. Through this campaign, Peoples Bank associates take initiative in their communities to make a difference where they live, work and play.

July through September was all about supporting students, teachers and schools. From donating school supplies, attending resource fairs and other back to school events, to teaching students about financial literacy, Peoples Bank associates made sure our communities know we care!

Sharing our time:

 

1. In Spencer, WV – Associates handed out drawstring bags with school supplies at Spencer Middle School.
2. In St Marys, WV – Associates handed out bags with notebooks, tissues and pencils to over 200 kids at a Back-to-School Fair in St Marys.
3. In Sistersville, WV – Associates attended a Back to School Fair for Tyler County students.
4. In McConnelsville, OH - Associates attended Morgan High School's back-to-school bash, passing out ice cream sandwiches to all students.
5. In Floyd County, KY – Associates set up a booth at the "Floyd County School Kickoff.”
6. In Gallipolis, OH – Associates spoke with 130 students in Gallia Academy Middle School’s Career Art class to explore finance careers.
7. In Prestonsburg, KY – Associates visited the Carl D Perkins Job Corps to speak to students on financial literacy.
8. In Highland County, Ohio – Associates volunteered with Hillsboro City Schools to help with their Summer Lunch Program.

Sharing our resources:

 

1. In Buckhannon, WV – Associates donated 10 gently used full PC setups with equipment, cables, etc, and two printers to a local school.
2. In Huntington, WV – Associates partnered with the Ebenezer Community Outreach Center to collect supplies for over 20 kids.
3. In Pomeroy, OH – Associates collected school supplies and donated them to Meigs County Elementary School.
4. In Nelsonville, OH – Associates donated school supplies to Nelsonville York Elementary School.
5. In Baltimore, OH - Associates collected school supplies.
6. In Parkersburg, WV – Associates collected school supplies.
7. In West Hamlin, OH – Associates donated school supplies to Guyan Valley Middle School.
8. In Montgomery, OH – Associates collected school supplies.
9. In Madison, WV – Associates donated school supplies to Van Elementary School.
10. In Marietta, OH – Associates from multiple departments participated in a school supply drive for Washington-Morgan Community Action. Also, associates donated school supplies to Marietta Elementary School.
11. In Baltimore, OH - Associates collected and delivered school supplies to Bloom-Carroll Elementary School, Millersport Elementary School, and Pleasantville Elementary School.
12. Wilmington, OH – Associates collected school supplies to donate to Wilmington City Schools.
13. In Prestonsburg, KY – Associates delivered pizza to Prestonsburg High School to feed all the teachers.
14. Russell, KY - Associates provided a monetary donation to Russell Primary School to support students in need of snacks.

These are just a few of the ways we have been #PositivelyPEBO so far this year. We look forward to the rest of the year and what else is to come!
