Feb 28, 2024

Do you have financial services experience or want to gain it? Are you excited about helping people in your community? Do you thrive in a team setting? If so, Peoples Bank might be the right career fit for you!

Peoples Bank is honored to have received the 2023 Best Banks to Work For award by American Banker and the 2023 Top Work Places USA award by Energage. Honorees were named based on employee feedback, engagement, benefits and more.

We continually strive to recruit the best talent in our footprint of Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. We also have opportunities in select locations across the country supporting our nationwide businesses (including but not limited to Minnesota, Missouri and Vermont). It is because of our associates that Peoples Bank has also been recognized as one of America's Best Regional Banks 2024 and America's Best Banks 2023 by Newsweek.

What makes Peoples Bank a first-class work experience?

  1. The PEBO Difference: We believe in acting with integrity, displaying leadership, demonstrating teamwork and delivering excellence in everything we do. We seek to treat our colleagues and clients with respect, trying to understand more than to be understood. Peoples Bank has a coaching culture where every employee, regardless of their role, is encouraged
to develop new skills and feel supported. We also have the Roxie Spirit Award and President’s Club, which recognize associates who make Peoples Bank a great place to be.

  1. Employee Benefits: We invest in our employees by providing a competitive benefits package. Our associates play an integral role in the success of our company, and we want to make sure they are empowered now and in their post-career. PEBO benefits include paid vacation and holidays, a 401(K) retirement/roth, medical insurance, student loan and tuition paydown/reimbursement programs and an employee stock purchase program. 1. Community Focus: Since 1902, our focus has been on serving people. Our associates are encouraged to play an active role in the communities we serve. From school supply drives and monetary donations to non-profits to serving on committee boards and mentoring youth, Peoples Bank is committed to helping our local economies thrive. Our associates also receive paid volunteer hours to go out and support a Community Project Activity meaningful to them.

  1. Diversity and Inclusion: We continue to build a culture that values and encourages a diverse and inclusive work environment. This includes the advancement of gender parity. We are proud to have numerous female associates hold senior leadership roles. Most notably, there are five female representatives on the Board of Directors, including its chairperson, Susan Rector.

  1. Advancement Opportunities: We all have the chance to lead regardless of our role. Peoples Bank is proud to enroll associates in leadership training to help them succeed in management roles. We have a dedicated Learning and Development team responsible for leadership and career development, new hire programs and ongoing training. Learning and Development also oversees the Professional Development Associate program where recent college graduates receive hands-on learning during a 12 to 15-month paid rotation. Professional Development Associates rotate around the company to gain exposure to different lines of business, have regular mentorship meetings with senior leadership, travel our footprint and attend networking events.
