A Statement Savings Account is a personal account for those who wish to earn interest while having the flexibility for withdrawals. With this account, you get the standard savings account features, plus easy access to your money, an overdraft protection option for your Peoples Bank checking accounts and direct Payroll deposits.
Young Peoples Savings
Learning to set goals and priorities with money gives young ones not only a focus, but life lessons. The Young Peoples Savings Account is available for those ages 0-17 with no minimum deposit required, but must be opened as a custodial account. This account includes the standard savings account features, plus no monthly maintenance charges, easy money transfers via mobile or online banking, and protection of their money (only you can withdraw money).
Senior Statement Savings
The Senior Statement Savings Account is available to those 55 and older. With this account, you get the standard savings account features, plus easy access to your money, an overdraft protection option for your Peoples Bank checking accounts, direct Payroll or Social Security deposits, a lower minimum balance requirement and a lower monthly maintenance charge.
Applies to all accounts:
- Earned interest on the money you deposit
- Your money FDIC insured up to $250,000
- Quarterly paper or e-statements (no fee on Young Peoples and Senior Statement Savings)
- Have six or fewer debit transactions per month and avoid a $10 monthly fee
