By clicking submit, you are directing PEOPLES BANK (“we”, “our” or “us”) to comply with this Stop Payment Order on the check or pre-authorized electronic funds transfer (not a point of sale transaction) (“ACH/EFT”) described above within a reasonable time after receipt, which in the case of an ACH/EFT must be at least three (3) business days prior to the scheduled ACH/EFT. We assume no responsibility if the description of the check or ACH/EFT is inaccurate or incomplete. If the dollar amount is off by a penny, our processing equipment may not catch the check or ACH/EFT in time. You will not hold us responsible if that happens.

You agree to hold us harmless from all costs and expenses we incur, including attorney's fees for consultation, at trial, and any appeals due to our refusal to the check or ACH/EFT. You agree not to hold us liable if the check or ACH/EFT is paid contrary to this Order and the payment is due to incorrect information you supplied.

LIABILITY LIMIT. You will not hold us responsible for loss caused by an event beyond our control, such as war, terrorism, riot, labor trouble, natural disaster, computer problem, loss of electric power, communications, or transport. If we do not process a transaction in accordance with the terms of this agreement, our maximum liability shall be the amount of the transaction. In no circumstances will we be responsible for consequential damages for any action that you take or fail to take in regard to the account.

This Order and other oral/written orders are valid for six months and automatically terminates on the expiration date unless renewed in writing.
