How to Fix Your Log In Settings

Below you will find a walk-through that will guide you step by step on how to clear your cookies, and temporary Internet files, as well as clear your browser history. The pictures in this guide are for Internet Explorer version 5.0 and newer, however notes marked by an asterisk * will aid those of you with 4.0 and older versions of Internet Explorer on achieving the same goal.

For those using AOL please click here, and for Netscape, Safari and others please click here.

Tip: Although it's not required by all browsers, restarting your browser after clearing the cache (pronounced cash) is a good idea. If you're using Explorer 4.x or Explorer 5.x it's better to restart the computer as well.

Step 1: Check your Internet Explorer Version

In the toolbar at the top of the page, just below the title bar, you will see the menu bar. The farthest right hand option will be Help. Click help, and then go to the bottom option About. Click About and it will bring up a window displaying the version of Internet Explorer you are running and other extra information. Check to see what version of Internet Explorer you currently have. Here it is marked by a red arrow, and circled in blue.
