Robert E Evans Educational Foundation

A Legacy of Leadership and Learning

In memory and appreciation of Bob Evans' longtime dedication, determination and strong belief in education, Peoples Bank has established the "Robert E Evans Education Fund." Bob Evans inspired those around him to do their best by maintaining the highest professional and personal integrity. As the CEO and Chairman of Peoples Bancorp Inc., Bob cared deeply about being a good corporate citizen and was a believer in the value of higher education. Throughout his 35-year career at Peoples, he was dedicated and committed to maintaining a culture of continuous learning and giving back to the community.

The Robert E Evans Education Fund was started with a $100,000 contribution by Peoples Bank. The fund will provide scholarships for high school seniors pursuing a four-year degree in the areas of business or liberal arts (social sciences, natural sciences, fine arts, literature and the humanities) at Marietta College, Washington State Community College, Ohio Valley University, WVU-Parkersburg and other colleges and universities. Through this fund, the legacy of Bob's leadership and passion for learning will live on.
